Theory Seminar:
Date and time: Monday September 21, 1:00pm
Speaker: William Jay (Fermilab)
Title: "Quantifying Theoretical Uncertainty: Bayesian Model Averaging"
Abstract: Statistical modeling plays a key role in connecting theoretical predictions to experimental and simulation data. In my talk, I will discuss and show examples of Bayesian model averaging, a way to account for uncertainty due to model variations. The methods I describe are general and could be useful for the lattice QCD calculations done at Jefferson Lab.
