Dear all,

As some of you may already know, a group at ODU/JLab and I created a virtual outreach program this summer for young aspiring scientists stuck at home, Remote Experience for Young Engineers and Scientists (REYES)<https://odu.edu/reyes>. We hosted colloquium-style/general-audience talks on topics related to JLab, NASA, CERN, Engineering, etc. We also had some more in-depth classes, like the one Ted and I taught on Python4Physics, and some one-time lectures, like Carlota’s<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk2WMuSDPUI> and Felipe's<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtRQDitf5_8>.

Although some of the material might be too basic for some, those of you that are at an earlier stage in your career might enjoy to see our archive of over 80 videos<https://odu.edu/reyes/recordings>. This might laso be enjoyable to your friends, family, students, and international contacts.

During the summer we had over 7 thousand participants from 115 countries, and received numerous requests to continue the program. We have decided to continue this with a short series of lectures starting this Thursday. This includes our very own Stuart Henderson, as well as a NASA Astronaut that is yet to be officially announced.

I am attaching the announcement sent to others with further details, but below is the list of speakers. The first speaker is Saúl Ramos Sánchez, who some of you might recognize as the person who was in charge in recruiting students in Mexico to bring to Jefferson Lab in the last few years. I believe his talk and Stuart’s would at least be of interest to our students. To get the Zoom link, you will need to RSVP.

Cheers,
Raul
