Mischa Batelaan (University of Adelaide)
will discuss a "Lattice QCD calculation of Hyperon transition form factors using the Feynman-Hellmann method"

Abstract:
Lattice QCD calculations of Hyperon transition form factors are relevant to setting constraints on the elements of the CKM matrix. I will present recent work from the QCDSF-UKQCD-CSSM collaboration on an extension to the Feynman-Hellmann method which allows for the calculation of these transition form factors. The Feynman-Hellmann approach only requires the calculation of lattice two-point functions which reduces the complexity of dealing with the excited state contaminations. The results of the form factors relevant to the semi-leptonic decay of the Sigma baryon will be discussed and compared to results from a calculation using the conventional three-point function approach.
