Dear all,
Next Monday, June 12th at 1:00pm EDT, we will have a virtual seminar given by Felix Hekhorn of University of Milan and INFN on the unique Zoom for Government link: https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1619320350?pwd=Tk0wYVBSU1FuYllPSGlJc3JCVHlBZz09
Please see below for the details.
Theory Seminar:
Monday June 12th, 1pm EDT (Virtual)
Speaker: Felix Hekhorn (University of Milan/INFN)
Title: Evidence for intrinsic charm in the proton
Abstract: I briefly review the determination of parton distribution functions (PDFs), with particular emphasis on the recent high-precision NNPDF4.0 PDF set. I specifically address the development of tools for fast and accurate theory predictions, and the validation of final result through dedicated methods. I then specifically discuss the determination of the intrinsic charm component of the proton, its theoretical foundations, and the impact of current and future data.
See you there,
Caroline, Joe, and Patrick
