Dear all,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holidays.

Tomorrow, at 1pm EST, we start back with our regular theory seminars with a hybrid seminar given by Kyle Lee of MIT in CC L102 and on the following Zoom for Government link:

Please see below for the title and abstract.

Theory Seminar: January 22nd, 1pm EST (hybrid)

Speaker: Kyle Lee (MIT)

Title: Reimagining Jet Substructure with Energy Correlators

Abstract: Reframing jet substructures in terms of energy flow and light-ray operators offers new means to study the dynamics of QCD jets. In this talk, I will present a theoretical framework developed for studying energy correlators at high-energy colliders. I will demonstrate how they can be used to probe the intrinsic and emergent scales of QCD, providing numerous interesting phenomenological applications. These include the study of heavy quark physics, hadronization models, fragmentation structures, and more.

See you tomorrow!

Best regards,

Caroline, Joe, and Zheng-Yang
