Dear all,

Tomorrow, at 1pm EDT, we will have a virtual seminar given by Simone Rodini of DESY on the Zoom for Government link:

https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1614675208?pwd=uXblLJbjtWr9qSIopUYtXSbdleMxH1.1

Please see below for the title and abstract.

Theory Seminar: October 14th, 1pm EDT (virtual)

Speaker: Simone Rodini (DESY)

Title: Twist-3 parton distributions: what are they are and why are they relevant?

Abstract: In this talk I will first review the basics of twsit-3 parton distributions functions (PDFs), with a particular emphasis on collinear PDFs. I will give a brief overview of the relevant processes in which they appear and their connection with transverse spin phenomena. I will then address the problem of their evolution, why is it different compared to regular twist-2 PDFs, how are we able to develop an efficient code to compute the evolution and why is it important in practice to use the correct evolution. I will conclude with a brief outlook for the field.

See you tomorrow.

Best regards,
Joe, Zheng-Yang, and Gloria
