[USJHPE] [EXTERNAL] Proposal to US-Japan exchange program in hadronic physics and QCD

Dear Dr. Lee,

The USJHPE Coordinating Committee unanimously approved your application, and we were just about to get back to you.

We are happy to inform you that your application for USJHPE support has been approved.  Your research plan and tentative itinerary were positively reviewed by the Coordinating Committee (CC) and strongly recommended for funding.

Regarding the local expenses, CC commented that the projected accommodation expenses appear high and that there might be possibilities to reduce them.  We recommend that you could make an effort to reduce the expenses to closer to ~150$, if possible.

We are optimistic that the COVID situation will improve considerably in the next months, and that you can realize your trip in the fall or early next year as planned. We kindly ask that you keep us informed about how your projections/plans evolve, so that we can plan ahead.

One important point: The travel support under USJHPE is administered by UConn. When the time comes to make travel arrangements, Kyungseon will provide you with further instructions how to go about this, so that your expenses can be properly covered. Please coordinate your travel arrangements with Kyungseon.  Thanks.
