Thank you for your answer Bob.

The "issue" is because for the final set up we need to drive the signals 
almost 30m and it was suggested to use some repeaters and as far I 
understand they handle ECL as output.

Maybe I am misunderstanding all this stuff for the final set up, but John 
Annand and Bogdan mention those repeaters and the LVDS->ECL converters
