[All_jlau] Jefferson Lab Computer Outage Update

There was an outage of JLab Central Computing Services today (Tuesday,
Sept. 6) that started around noon.
The outage was the result of a software problem with a central file
server. We have worked with the vendor to restore functionality of the
file server, and we began restoring central services around 1:15 p.m.
As of 2 p.m., email, printing, Windows AD Services, most MIS
applications and other services were restored.
A patch has been provided by the vendor, and it will be applied at 5:15
p.m. tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 6) during the maintenance period.
