Just a reminder...Message from Mike Dallas

United Way Campaign at JLab Kicks Off With Oct. 7 Picnic and Raffle

The United Way annual fund raising appeal at JLab kicks off Thursday, 
Oct. 7, with a picnic lunch at Quark Cafe. The picnic will run from 
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, 
chips, sodas and bottled water being sold in the CEBAF Center lobby for 
$1 per item. The food and beverages are being donated by Quark Cafe 
contractor, Eurest. To encourage a large turnout for the picnic, senior 
JLab leadership will be serving the food. Quark Cafe will be open with 
side dishes for purchase in the cafeteria.

A United Way fund raising raffle for each one of two 16 gigabyte iPads 
will also begin during lunch on Oct. 7. Raffle tickets will be $1 each 
and tickets may be purchased at the table in the CEBAF Center lobby, 
from 12-1 p.m. on workdays through Oct. 27. The winning ticket for each 
iPad will be drawn during the Jefferson Activities Group Oktoberfest on 
Wednesday, Oct. 27. Winners need not be present to win and will have 
until Monday, Nov. 1 to claim their iPads.

All money collected for the picnic and from the raffle will go to the 
United Way to support community services like after school programs.
