Dear all,
based on the responses I have received for the poll at
> http://doodle.com/6e539mhma3igrf4v
I propose the following preliminary schedule for our BONuSFest next week Friday (July 25):
11:00 Options for a new low-momentum recoil detector - General Discussion (volunteers for presentations are strongly encouraged to contact me)
12:30 Lunch
1:30 What else can we learn from BONuS data? (e.g., inclusion in CJ fits, etc.) - Wally
2:00 Status of combined fit of world data on p and n - Narbe/Eric
2:30 Status of Analysis and Paper on Duality - Ioana
3:00 Status of EMC paper - Keith
3:30 Status of pi- analysis and data - Jixie (?)
4:00 Additional discussion, Closeout
Please confirm if you will be able to give the presentation for which your name appears above at the time given (or tell me what other time/title/speaker would be better). Note that if you cannot attend in person, we will use "BlueJeans" which allows you to participate remotely, including video and desktop sharing (you are strongly encouraged to set up and test BlueJeans on your computer ahead of time).
For the detector discussion, it would be best if people come prepared with ideas, "mini-presentations" and proposals for work they can/would like to do on issues like researching various technologies, doing "back-of-the-envelop" or more detailed calculations on mechanical/structural/electronic properties, simulations (rates, resolution, signals, PID…) and hands-on testing and prototyping work, as well as funding ideas. Hopefully we can initiate a small "R&D subgroup" which can replicate the work done on the original RTPC development; eventually this group should include students (UG and G) as well as postdocs and perhaps technicians in addition to more senior scientists.
I will send out a more final schedule and Bluejeans instructions next week. Note that the usual BONuS meeting next week is cancelled; I also will have to miss the BONuS meeting August 6 (which we can either skip or someone else could lead).

This Fest is in lieu of our usual BONuS meeting that would otherwise take place 2 days before, 7/23 (that meeting is hereby canceled). Our goal is twofold:
>
> 1) Review new developments in the analysis, publication and interpretation of BONuS6 results. In particular, I hope to have presentations by Eric and Narbe, Keith, Ioana and Gabriel, and Jixie on there respective projects involving BONuS data. Everyone else of course is welcome to present something, as well - please let me know ASAP if you would like to "reserve a spot".

> 2) Have an extended discussion on plans for detector options, R&D plans, and possible time and funding scenarios for the BONuS12 run, which could potentially occur as early as 2017 (3 years from now!) We already had some discussion on this topic today - those who missed it can look up the posted documents under today's agenda on the wiki. Again, if you would like to give a presentation on detector ideas or issues, please let me know right away.

I am trying to keep this as simple (and cheap) as possible, so there will not be any "official registration" (fee) - but also no "official" refreshments. We can use the cafeteria for lunch and maybe I can organize some coffee and cookies later in the afternoon (no promises). The poll serves as "inofficial" registration. You're on your own with travel, accommodations etc… - sorry! (But of course Lorelei or other JLab staff can help)

If you cannot travel to Jefferson Lab, we will also utilize Bluejeans for remote participation (plan to set up your computer and web browser to take advantage of the full multi-media options; see today's agenda for information).
