[BTeam] 1S08H 30 Hz kicker

Heyos,

Here are some thoughts from me -- thanks to Jay for pinging me.

The short of it is that I at least preliminarily agree with Mike. The
readbacks and activity seem consistent with the 30 Hz kickers operating
properly. There is a little different in the readback of MHF1E01VM voltage
in Figure 8 of https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3817199 but nothing that
shows that anything is terribly wrong.

Hence I suspect that the conditions are an oversensitivity to 1S08H
rather than an undersensitivity or failure of correctors on any of
the other fopt correctors. The diffx X2 plot of

https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3817195

is pretty bad, horizontal excursions off the scale in 1R and excessive
response all throughout the region where the 1S08 fopt plot is. I would
not be surprised if there is beam scraping from that fopt during 1S08.
Scraping has been shown to cause spurious coupling signals in the past,
consistent with yfrx2 in that fopt.

I agree that backing up to the 1E match and clarifying the situation
there is best. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3817246 seems to back
that up since the fopt with quads on design looks more reasonable.

                                                 -Todd

Pete should confirm that all is well with the system. Would be a fine idea to integrate matching in 1S/1E with the requirement to have equivalent kicks from the 30 Hz kickers which are supposed to give us critical information about the overall performance of the entire transport.
