At the RC meeting Mike Spata asked me to look into the reported Hall D energy oscillations more thoroughly than I had done in the linked "183" entry. In particular, he asked me to look at vertical BPMs in the dispersive region (5C01-07) to see if the signals showed the same oscillations. They do, top panel in figure, showing that BEM is calculating appropriately. The vertical oscillations persist into the region after the ramp, bottom panel of figure 1. In figure 2 I show the horizontal positions in the non-dispersive region in the bottom panel. In figure 3 AD00.XPOS in bottom panel is noisy but doesn't show the coherent oscillations see in the vertical plane. Ops has seen a fair number of ILMAD00 trips but not so many as to preclude beam delivery. In figure 4 the bottom panel shows arc LCW temperatures. East Arc is less well controlled than West Arc. I hid the linacs; their regulation is comparable to that of the West Arc. The WAx signal, West Arc return, !
seems to have an issue. NLx has a similar issue. In figure 5 bottom one sees that the East Arc temperature regulation got worse around noon 11/23.
