Dear All,
you can find below a brief summary of what discussed and agreed at the
CalCom meeting last Friday in preparation of the commissioning review.

As promised I also created a doodle to schedule the next phone
conferences to review the talk drafts. Considering the many meetings
that are already scheduled in the morning (US time), the proposed time
slots are in the early afternoon to still allows participation from
Europe.*The link is http://doodle.com/cewf543ai2736tpm (note that the
time zone is US EST). *Please fill it as soon as you can. The final dry
runs will take place on Monday January 12.

Last information, I received an email (that I just forwarded you) with
first comments on the commissioning plan by Elton Smith who is the chair
of the review panel. We should all consider Elton's points in preparing
our talks.

Happy holidays!!
     Raffaella

12/9 CalCom meeting Minutes:
participants: Cole, Dan, Dave, Gagik, Raffaella, Sergey, Volker

  * the CWB review agenda will be modified, extending the time
    allocated for presentation to the afternoon and including a overview
    talks on the software organziation and status by Veronique
  * Raffaella presented the draft of the overview talk on the CWB plan.
    Several suggestions were made and she will modify the slides
    accordingly. Among the more relevant points:
      o the CWB will be introduced in the context of the broader CLAS12
        commissioning procedures;
      o DOE requirements will be included in the objectives of the CWB;
      o the time duration of the different CWB phases will be explained
        early on;
      o CWB priorities will be discussed to define which tasks could be
        postponed if necessary.
  * The scope of Sergey's talk was discussed: he should present an
    overview of the DAQ and Trigger systems, outlining the
    functionalities that will be available for the completion of the CWB
    tasks.
  * The scope of Cole's talk was discussed and it was agreed that he
    will focus on the commissioning of the forward carriage detectors.
    This is relevant for the review both because the pre-CWB calibration
    of the calorimeters is crucial since these will be the primary
    source of the electron trigger and because ongoing commissioning and
    calibration activities are the perfect example of what can be done
    before beam delivery. It was also agreed, that this talk will be
    move to an earlier time slot in the agenda, after Raffaella's talk.
  * The scope
  * Veronique's draft slides were briefly shown: it was pointed out that
    her talk should provide an overview of the software organization and
    be an introduction to Gagik's and Maurizio's talk.
  * Gagik's briefly showed the slides he has so far: it was stressed
    that he should reduce the information given on the common tools
    design and expand on how these tools will be used to build the
    online and offline tools necessary for the CWB such as monitoring
    calibration tools.
  * To further review the talk drafts, there will be a series of phone
    conferences in the week of January 5. Final dry runs will take pace
    on Monday January 12.
