Hi Timothy,
There have been no gain updates for this period since the original 2017 tables, although I tweaked the pass 1 timing constants in June 2021 during our first revisiting. The current v0.04 replay used pass2 timing constants that were backdated from run 6684 so are probably not optimal but it is only a days work to make new timing tables. Similarly the gain tables will require only a few passes to converge.
To speed this up for ECAL I’m now making skims of the 5-pass v0.04 mon files to build calibration files with reasonable statistics for the inbending and outbending intervals. Gains show only a modest decrease with time so I’ll start with a single, separate correction for each interval. By next week it should be done.
For the 3-pass the lower energy makes cross-checks using pizero invariant mass not possible, and I’ll need to study the SF vs MIP calibration checks more carefully. Probably I’ll apply the 5-pass tables to the 3-pass to get started.
Best regards,
Cole

What we ended up doing was plotting every other run in some places and every third run in others for the 10 GeV (which have a very large number of total runs). I would appreciate if subsystem experts could have a cursory look at their timelines and let me know their general thoughts. In particular, a loose estimate of how much effort they would expect to be required in order to calibrate their subsystems. Significantly more than Fa18 or a comparable amount? No need to pick out runs to calibrate or anything like that, just a first look. Remember to make use of the inbending and outbending filters at the top as the 10 GeV timeline includes both polarities and they aren’t in continuous chunks. Finally, as this is the first complete timeline we’ll probably be removing several runs from the list of those that planned to be calibrated (I already see a few trigger tests etc) so don’t worry about the runs with super special conditions.
