Hi all
Of the responses received, the consensus was not to take empty target data.
The plan for the remainder of swing and through owl until until beam off at 7am is now finalised as production data at 50nA.
Cheers
Bryan

Hi Bryan,
good, then I propose to wait until, say, 8PM. If no objections arrive, we
could skip the ET run, as no one really wants it.

As RC, whatever the group consensus on this is, I will finalise the run
plan by end of swing shift.
Removing the RC hat, I would rather we took production data from now until
beam off tomorrow. I do not think we need empty target data.
Cheers
Bryan

Dear all,
in the spring run we took 174M events with empty target, and in the fall
we took 51M more. Do we really need to take more empty target data
tonight?
The only difference between the spring data and now is the beam energy,
while in the fall we had same energy as now but opposite torus polarity.
I am just asking this because we finally have a very very nice beam, and
it seems a bit sad to waste 5 hours of it for data that maybe no one will
ever analyze. Or will anyone? It wasn't clear at yesterda's RC meeting...
Thanks for your feedback - and don't forget tomorrow's party at noon at
the ResFac!
Silvia
