Dear Volker and Craig,

Congratulations with this great paper, summarizing a long term synergistic efforts between theorists and experimentalists with the decisive impact from the CLAS results and the continuum QCD theory on the understanding of the Roper resonance structure and strong QCD dynamics underlying the Roper resonance generation from quarks and gluons.

This publication is a great stimulus for the extension of these studies in 12 GeV era towards the challenging objective to get insight into hadron mass generation dynamics and the emergence of quark-gluon confinement from the combined studies of the ground and excited nucleon states.

Thank you very much for your efforts!

  Best Regards,

                                       Victor

This invited Roper Resonance colloquium article with Craig Roberts was

The N* program has been a flagship program with CLAS. This article
shows, on the example of the N(1440)1/2+ Roper resonance, what has been
achieved from experiments and theory in unraveling the internal
structure of excited nucleons. The groundwork was laid by the CLAS
collaboration that generated and analyzed the experimental data needed
to come to these conclusions.

Volker
