[Cuga] Call for Nominations: 2021-2024 MIT Pappalardo Fellowships Competition - a message from Or Hen

Dear Colleague,

The Executive Committee of the MIT Pappalardo Fellowships in Physics invites faculty and senior researchers within physics, astronomy or related fields to submit nominations for the 2021-2024 MIT Pappalardo Fellowships in Physics competition.

Nominees should be young physicists of exceptional ability at the beginning of their careers, who currently have or will have received a doctoral degree in physics, astronomy or related fields by September 1, 2021.

Candidates are nominated using the online form located at:

The nomination deadline is Friday, SEPTEMBER 11, 2020.

Please note:

(1) Your letter of reference for your nominee is not required at the time you submit the online nomination form.

Instead, your nominee will submit your name and contact information to academicjobsonline.org<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__academicjobsonline.org_&d=DwMGaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=TI1-uR1CNrL-lIqQDSyKdw&m=AD8lbT5pIkc59TlFPSXbhwA98GMWG6RnSTJJtJ2D_6g&s=6rEUjR9DCoA3Y3oNwbbPdLKHfedMJVTOpP1Al-SZ4V4&e=> (AJO), where the competition is hosted online.

AJO will then email you directly with instructions for uploading your letter to its secure web locker designated for referees.

(2) Current MIT graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, or those who have already received an offer for a postdoctoral position from an MIT faculty member, will only be considered by the Committee under exceptional circumstances.

(3) Interested candidates cannot self-nominate; nomination by a faculty or senior researcher is required.
