SALARY RANGE: $52,600 - $79,000 (PD)

Jefferson Lab invites applications for a post-doctoral research
associate position in the Hall C nuclear physics group. The core Hall C
equipment consists of two focusing magnetic spectrometers and various
high-power targets. The successful applicant will be expected to
participate in the 12 GeV era experiments in Hall C. Physics topics of
these experiments include nucleon and nuclear structure functions, the
connection between nucleon-nucleon interactions and the quark structure
of many-nucleon systems, and measurements of pion and kaon form factors
and their basic cross sections in semi-inclusive and deep exclusive
scattering experiments. Along with participating in the research
program, postdoctoral fellows in Hall C are expected to help with
maintaining the particle detector hardware as well as the development of
the software for analysis.

Position Requirements

By the date of hire, the candidate must have successfully defended their
doctoral dissertation in experimental nuclear, particle, or high-energy
physics. Experience working with particle detectors and analyzing data
is essential, and a background in lepton-nucleus physics would be
beneficial. The position will initially be available for a 2 year term,
with the possibility of an additional year extension, contingent upon
mutual agreement and the availability of funds. Applicants should send
curriculum vitae and arrange to have three letters of references sent
