Hi Beni and Andrew,
It's good to hear that the crate modifications are concretely moving forward and that Andrew will be coordinating the work for the EIC DIRC shipping crates.
I am available on 1/11 at 11:00am for the meeting with Andrew in EEL 108.
I've also reattached George's modification documentation since I've added Andrew to this email so he can read over it before the meeting.

Hi Tyler,
thank you for this information. I want to add that Andrew Lumanoc will be the new Work Coordinator
at JLAB taking on various tasks independent of the experimental halls. this will be mostly for the moller
project but he will also take on the task to get the hpDIRC shipping crates ready for the SLAC to JLAB
transport.
For this we set up a tentative meeting on January 11th around 9am (time subject to change). It would
be great if you could participate in that meeting too (the best place is probably ELL 108).
The purpose is to get Andrew up to speed as to what the scope of the work is to get those crates ready.
cheers,
Beni

Hi Greg and Beni,
I thought there was a DSG EIC DIRC meeting scheduled for today but looking at the calendar, it looks like I didn't extend the bi-weekly Zoom meetings into 2024.
Since it's pretty short notice for today considering there wasn't anything on the calendar, I figured I would send a general update email on things for EIC DIRC for this week and re-start regular meetings on January 22 (next week, Jan. 15, is the MLK Jr. Holiday).
But, if there's anything that would be better to discuss in person or in Zoom sooner, we can always schedule an ad-hoc meeting.
Shipping crates
- George ordered gas system components at the end of December and they were delivered right before the holiday shutdown.
- Attached is the modification instructions George wrote for the new crates. We will go over and review them in the next meeting
Laser interlock system
- System almost ready to install in EEL 108. I hope to be able to start installation in EEL 108 next week (week of January 15).
Photodiode DAQ read out
- We have the PCB and components on hand for the circuit needed to read up to four photodiodes
- I anticipate that a version of the DAQ system will be usable in the laser area by the end of January.
Any news relating to the work schedule for the shipping crates or any updates on the timeline?
-Tyler
