Hello, 

As Amrit mentioned, we have assembled and attached the stiffening tool to RICH. Thank you again to everyone that helped. Attached is a photo of the stiffening tool fastened to RICH. 

During the stiffening tool's assembly, we found that we did not have enough hardware for the full assembly. We will need to procure more 1/2-inch washers and we will also need to confirm the bolt lengths for each screw hole for the final assembly. 

As Dario mentioned, we did have trouble tightening the bolts at the front of the stiffening tool at RICH's nose, but we were able to find tools to allow us to tighten these bolts. 

At the complex angle at the side of the stiffening tool, one screw hole location on each side did not accommodate the specified length bolt because the angle of the part caused the bolt to hit the stiffening tool. This would be fixed by verifying the bolt lengths. 

After the weight of the stiffening tool was placed fully on RICH's shell, we noted that the clearance on the left (side towards cleanroom's gowning area) between the stiffening tool and RICH and the clearance on the right (side towards SVT) between stiffening tool and RICH did not match. The left side had a clearance of 25 mm and the right a clearance of 45 mm. We believe that these differences in clearance between RICH's shell and the stiffening tool can be corrected once all correct hardware is installed. 

Despite the hardware issues we were able to successfully align all screw holes. We also put the weight of the stiffening tool fully on the detector shell with no issues. The stiffening tool has been left in place on RICH for now. We will buy more washers for the stiffening tool's final assembly.
