[Dsg-rich] use of optical level for RICH assembly structure construction

Hello Matt and Jim,

During the week of January 11, 2017, assembly of a frame to assist with RICH detector assembly will begin. INFN collaborators will need to use an optical level throughout the assembly procedure. Does Survey Group have an optical level similar to the one linked below that can be used during RICH assembly? We would also need the corresponding tripod for the level.

Link to optical level: http://www.leica-geosystems.us/en/Leica-NA2-NAK2_4457.htm

If there is not an optical level available at JLab at that time, the collaborators would be able to bring an optical level, however, we would still need a tripod to use with the level. The connection to the tripod for the level they already have is a 5/8 threaded male screw.

Please let us know if an optical level and tripod will be available for use by the INFN collaborators during the detector assembly.

Best regards,
Tyler Lemon

Subject: Optical level

Dear Tyler,

regarding the assembling procedure, we surely need to use an "optical level", not exactly only in scheduled phases, but also with a random use of it.
Could you verify, probably with the "JLab Alignement Service", or in general, the following hypotesis:

1) if they can borrow us this kind of tool with the relative tripod;

2) we can bring with us this tool from Italy but, we should avoid carrying the tripod due its
encumbrance and weight.
So, in this case, it would be essential that the "JLab Alignement Service" could lend us at least
the tripod.
The connection on the tripod is " 5/8" threaded male" ( our optical level model is"Leica NAK2"

Thanks in advance and again best wishes to everybody in the "DSG"
Dario
