[Dsg-rich] Hermetic feedthrough alternative

Hello Marco, 

After talking this morning, I searched for hermetic feedthroughs as you described for the humidity and temperature sensor cables. From this preliminary search, the ones I could find with enough pins (at least 14 pins) and would allow the wires to be soldered to it had an estimated 95 day lead time. 

To avoid any delays and as an alternative to buying hermetic feedthroughs, could we use the plastic feedthroughs we have on hand and seal any gaps in the feedthrough with black silicon to make it gas-tight?
