Hello Ron,
I do not see any problems with elevating the RICH compressors by 3 inches to allow the recommended drainage line.
There will eventually be a second compressor installed in the same location in Hall B so how the compressor is elevated 3" should also be provided for the second compressor yet to be installed in Hall B.
To answer your earlier question, we did not change the automatic drain outlet for the compressor in EEL 125. I verified that the piping used in EEL is 8 mm OD. It still seems to be a secure fit despite the discrepancy.
Best regards,
Tyler

In order to properly install the condensate drain in accordance with Atlas Copco recommendations (i.e. manual drain shall be hard piped to an open drain with an air gap provided for operator visual verification that condensate is being drained properly), the compressor needs to be elevated by 3". Do you see any problems with this?

Hello Ron,
We found a few feet of spare tubing in EEL 124 that we used to connect to the RICH compressor's condensate drain in EEL 125.
Best regards,
Tyler

Where did you get the blue polyurethane tubing that is currently hooked up to the compressor condensate drain in the EEL building?

Hello Ron,
I do not have a dimensional drawing of the compressor on hand. I can request on from Atlas Copco.
I do know that the automatic condensate drain connection uses an 8mm line. That is what we have connected to it in EEL 124.
Best regards,
Tyler

Do you happen to have the dimensional drawing on the unit? The instruction manual doesn't call out what the automatic/manual condensate drain connection sizes are and I was wondering if it was on a dimensional drawing.

Hello Ron,
The forward carriage moves 192 inches.
Also attached is the Atlas Copco manual for the RICH compressor in Hall B.
Please let me know if you need any more information for the compressors' drain line.
Best regards,
Tyler
