[Dsg-rich] RICH Air Compressor Power

Hello Bob and Denny,

Did any thing ever come of electrician estimate to get the second RICH air cooling compressor powered?

Yesterday, it was realized there may be a problem with the current compressor Its output pressure has dropped to ~80 psi when in the previous run it was ~100 psi, but no settings were changed on the compressor. Having the second compressor operational for the next run would lessen the overall load on each compressor.

Best regards,
Tyler

Denny,

Currently, the RICH air compressor on beam left is powered and
operating. The second compressor is not powered.

If the first compressor fails, we will have to turn off the detector and
wait for a Hall opening, then the electricians will have to come in and
unwire the first compressor and move those wires to the second compressor.

Please request an estimate from the electricians to:

1. Enable a quick change over from one compressor to the other. Install
this during January. This could mean wiring both compressors to the
breaker panel with each compressor on a separate breaker, and
instructions to only run one at a time. Then if the first compressor
failed, we would just need to enter the hall and switch the breakers.

2. Enable both compressors to operate at the same time. Install this in
the future to support the second RICH detector.

Thanks,
