[dsg-hallb_rich] Question on upcoming RICH-II leak checks

There are only 3 requirements I can think of:
#1 The air would need to be oil free
#2 The air pressure source would need to be high enough pressure to supply an MFC.
#3 The air volume source should be high enough to flow a min of ~50 slm through the N2 panel MFC

That means an oil free compressor will be required to supply the air to the MFC.

Subject: [dsg-hallb_rich] Question on upcoming RICH-II leak checks

Hello,

Marc and I met with Bob Miller today to discuss the plans for RICH-II's N2 supply and air-cooling supply in the EEL.

During the meeting, we were talking about when the two systems are needed and Bob brought up a good point.

For the leak checks of the detector before the installation of aerogel, do we really need nitrogen?

Instead we could use air (from one of the compressors or even a fan/blower) for the leak checks.

Would this be okay?

Tyler
