Hi Valery,

I have just a couple of suggestions for the OSP review concerning the Task Hazard Analysis.

In section 5 of the THA, I think the Design Authority for the RICH II may be Bob Miller.

You may want to consider re-evaluating the consequence level on section 3. You have in the OSP that the N2 must flow to abate humidity/moisture. I believe the cause is due to the Aerogel absorbing moisture which would cause problems for the detector. If that translates to a cost issue, the level should be higher (see chart from EH&S manual).

However, in the proposed mitigation column of the THA, the final risk code will be reduced because you have the DSG backup N2 system in the hall, in the case that the Hall N2 supply stops. This will show that the hazard has been reviewed and analyzed. This will also emphasize the required mitigation to the hazard, which will help ensure detector safety. You may want to modify step 3 like this...

Since this is for an OSP, no further documentation will be needed, but it will help validate all protection steps used to keep the Aerogel dry.
