Hi Aaron, et al,

I'm sorry for the short notice, but something came up in the Hall and
it's likely I won't be able to attend the meeting tomorrow. If Jack
can't make it either, then we may want to reschedule (or just give
updates over email)?

Here are a few updates from my end. Jack knows about these too.

o Signals cable run from the NPS to FADCs -- Done [Brad, Jack]
  * I do not think this was on the DSG's plate, so this is just FYI,
and to keep you folks in the loop.
I have started procurement of the RG-58C signal cables that run from
the NPS roof panel, through a BNC:BNC patch panel on the SHMS power
supply deck, to the FADCs in the detector hut. Parts for the BNC:BNC
patch panels have also been purchased.

o HV connectors *internal* to the NPS detector -- [DSG]
My understanding is that the DSG has been working on HV cables that
run from the PMT assemblies to the inner side of an HV patch-panel
integrated into the roof panel of the NPS chassis.
  - I think this is bullet (2) on your agenda?

o Procure parts for the 140' external multi-conductor HV cables -- [???]
We will also need 34, 140' long, multi-conductor HV cables that run
from the RADIALL-52 connector on the CAEN HV module to a set of SAMTEC
connectors on the outside of the NPS chassis roof-panel. There are 3
SAMTEC connectors per cable (not my design).

I was going to ask if the DSG might be willing to take over the
procurement and assembly for these long HV cables? We could contract
out too, if you know of a vendor that would be willing to take it on.

This is a very rough WAG based on what numbers I could find for
components. Labor is going to be a killer though...
  $61k + labor : HV multi-conductor cables (34 x 140' @ $1800/ea + labor)
      - RADIALL-52 on the CAEN HV module side -> 3 connector SAMTEC
        plugs on NPS side.
      - Best guess on the *parts-only* cost for this is $1800/cable
      - These are going to be a pain to assemble (nominal 80--100 pins
per cable; very fiddly...) ==> *many* labor hours
