Hi All,
An updated generic EIC template has been uploaded to the Prep Site, in the Templates folder, here: Templates<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__brookhavenlab.sharepoint.com_-3Af-3A_r_sites_eRHIC_opacd3aprep_Shared-2520Documents_Templates-3Fcsf-3D1-26web-3D1-26e-3DsJbEox&d=DwIFAg&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=uK_3Qf5tKZZEUDDNNCwBIhq8Jz3Rc0zFKZyZkZehvTc&m=OjpgDtWcngUcTTKyKuIptGQjOZaA7io_GTrHDdAD12TlsOHhhN1Pn8muh4BSIPwR&s=CKX9D8tvHPtlBFP4p2M5DVMIqfJbHkWrVA4w1lxETds&e= >. Filename is: "Template CD-3A 16x9 KSS - General - 2023-10-21-A".
The prior version has been moved to the "Archive" folder.
Let's don't panic. The template proper is essentially unchanged. The primary update is the addition of a lot of added content slides aimed at achieving consistency across presentations - particularly when addressing things like project WBS and scope. Just steal content as appropriate to include in your presentation, if and as relevant. I also added some additional guidance notes up front and some of the standard EIC graphics for easy access, near the end of the deck.
If there are any concerns or questions, or if you notice any errors, just reach out to me on Teams or via e-mail.
For the L3/L4 Accelerator Systems presenters in SC-1, SC-2 and SC-3, there is also a more specific slide deck in the "Accelerator Systems Template" folder. You'll recognize it as being nearly identical to the slide deck used for the SC-2 breakout in the Director's Review. Again, just reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Yours Truly in the Service of Science, Sincerely I Am, With Best Wishes,
KSS

Subject: Update on CD-3A Review Preparations
Dear EIC Team:
Here we go again! It's time to start preparing for the upcoming OPA DOE/SC CD-3A/Status Review on November 14-16, 2023. The review will location is the same as the Director's Review, with the main sessions in the Bldg 510 Physics Auditorium and breakouts in Bldg 510 & 515. Speakers are strongly encouraged to attend in-person. There will be zoom connections provided on a best effort basis. Please find the draft agenda attached. A notable change is that OPA divided the Accelerator into three subcommittees versus the two we had for the Director's Review. A dinner will be hosted at Berkner on the evening of November 14th and a post review team debrief is scheduled for the late afternoon on November 16th.
We are counting the Director's Review as our "practice run" so for the sake of time, there will be no Page Turns. However, POCs should independently schedule touch base meetings with their speakers as needed. PPT templates are posted on the prep site, including an example breakout template. POCs should modify the templates for their breakouts and maintain a standard. The presentation format standard for all presentations is the wide format (see attached). Outlook calendar notices for the dry runs and review will be sent out soon.
