[Esh_manual_editor] Review Request - ES&H Manual Chapter 6122 Hot Work Safety Program and its associated, Appendices

Attached for your review are draft ES&H Manual Chapter 6122 Hot Work 
(i.e. Welding, Cutting Brazing, and Grinding) Safety Program and its 
associated appendices documents:

    * T1 Hot Work Station Set-up and Safe Operating Procedures
    * T2 Hot Work Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    * T3 Inspection of Welding and Cutting Equipment
    * T4 Hot Work Area Posting Requirements
    * T5 Hot Work Ventilation/Respiratory Requirements


The Technical Point-of-Contact for these documents is Mike Martin, QA/CI 
Senior Technical Specialist, as such he played an integral role in the 
development of this material. Technical Reviews were provided by (in 
alphabetical order) James Embler, Cryo QC-Engineering; Charles Lassiter, 
Hall C-Physics; Calvin Mealer, Hall B Physics; Dick Owen; ESH&Q Safety; 
Scott Thompson Cryo-Engineering; Neil Wilson, Installation-Engineering; 
and Kenneth Worland, R&D Accelerator. (Joshua Foyles, Hall D-Physics; 
Paul Hood, Target Group-Physics; and Andrew Kenyon, Hall C-Physics were 
also invited to the meetings and offered the opportunity to comment on 
these drafts prior to this submittal.)

These documents were drafted to reflect current laboratory operations.

It is asked that you provide these documents to affected members of your 
organization for review. Any comments are to be directed to the ES&H 
Manual Editor (at mbailey at jlab.org <mailto:mbailey at jlab.org>) by April 
7, 2011. If you have no input at this time a "no comment" response would 
be appreciated but is not required.

*NOTE:* "ES&H Manual Chapter 6122 Appendix T6 Welding and Brazing 
Program" is not included within this review. Upon approval of the above 
referenced documents Appendix T6 will be transferred, in its entirety, 
to a "Welding and Brazing Supplement;" accessible through the ES&H 
Manual Table of Contents and through the chapter document as designated.
