Hall A Meeting Minutes

9 August 2011

Bert reminds everyone who is working in the Hall to make sure that they have 
taken the six month down Hall work governance training SAF110-KD:

Robin reports designers working on final g2p items: 3rd arm supports & 
shielding and camera support & viewers.  There was discussion if a field map 
would be needed of the septum magnet.  Likely a course map should be done, 
though it will require an operational safety procedure (OSP).

Douglas reports that the Hall A SRC results were shown as an explanation for 
the recent discrepancy between neutrino cross section measurements and simple 
calculations which had neglected correlations.

Jack report that we should be able to have three fastbus creates in each arm 
during the next run period.

Bogdan checked the gas Cherenkov and the mirrors were ok; in looking further 
found that their was an analysis problem.   Also reports getting ready for PAC 
and GEM detector test at Mainz.

Jixie simulated 3rd arm for g2p and found 30cm plastic shielding is required.

Ole has computer upgrades coming to the counting house.  He will install 64bit 
OS and provide 20 TB of local storage.
