Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: March 27, 2018

1. Doug Higinbotham
   a. 60 million increase for Nuclear Physics
     i. This will likely significantly increase the number of weeks we are running this fiscal year. We are 
              waiting on official guidance from DOE but possible options are being explored to maximize the 
              physics impact of the extra funds
   b. 12 GeV event May 2nd with run around now likely moved to May 1st  
   c. Retirement event Thursday 2-4pm in F113

2. Robin Wines
   a. SBS
     i. Continue on ECal support drawings and assembly
     ii. Asked to review GEM and Analyzer support frame
   b. APEX
     i. Submitted PR for corrector magnet parts and extension box support 
     ii. Continue on design and analysis of septum support/carriage
   c. PREX2?CREX 
     i. Continue on design and analysis of septum support/carriage
     ii. Continue on shielding designs and supports
   d. Raster
     i. Modifying design of power supply box to reduce heating problem

3. Jessie Butler
   a. Spent the week preparing the hall for beam
   b. Did final check of the vacuum systems, dial in lead flows and completed the pre beam checklist
   c. Did a final clean up of the Hall 
   d. Ended up swapping out the bad AC unit so the raster AC is back online
   e. Still waiting on the repair parts for the original unit
   f. Continue to work on streamlining the assembly process for SBS shielded beamline
   g. Still working with the vendor on the Q1 water lines for PREX2
