Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: August 21, 2018

1. Thia Keppel
   a. No Senior Staff meeting this week

2. Robin Wines
   a. SBS
     i. Revised vertical support drawings and tower extension drawings to reduce cost, plan to get into 
                purchasing this week
     ii. Ordering field clamp stand-offs
   b. PREX/CREX 
     i. Updated vacuum chamber and beam pipe drawings, requested quote from vendor
     ii. Getting quote from concrete vendor on beam dump shielding and sky shine shielding
   c. APEX
     i. Some parts of septa magnet support came in, others expected by October
     ii. Did layout of using alternate target chamber
   d. SoLID
     i. Spent time on cost estimate revision
     ii. Received estimate from steel vendor for the CLEO magnet return iron

3. Jessie Butler
   a. Both Q2s and Q3s are cold, on cold return and full of liquid
   b. Both dipoles are cold but we kept them on warm return over the weekend, the plan is to move them to cold 
           return and begin filling
   c. L-HRS vacuum is fluctuating between the low four and high five range (2.8 X 10-4 to 9.7 X 10-5) 
   d. Continue to leak check and repair leaks until the spectrometer is able to maintain a vacuum better than 5 X 
           10-5
   e. Assisted Installation Group in welding up the dump beam pipe
   f. Assisted Spectrometer Support Group with pulling in the conduit needed for the bogie control cables
