Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: February 13, 2018

1. Thia Keppel
   a. Senior Staff
     i. Insurance costs going up…..you should have received an email
     ii. May 19th Open House – likely may not include Hall A due to target
     iii. Budget
       1. Still in continuing resolution
     iv. Paperwork for foreign institutions progressing (MOUs and CRADAs) 

2. Robin Wines
   a. SBS
     i. Completed Ecal front frame drawings
     ii. Continue on other parts of Ecal frame
     iii. Submitted PR for counterweight steel sandblasting
     iv. Reviewing floor plate layout to minimize floor plate purchase
     v. Continue on polarized 3He target
   b. APEX
     i. Working on septum carriage support redesign
   c. PREX2/CREX
     i. Working on vacuum chambers and shielding support
     ii. Working on clamp design for testing

3. Jessie Butler
   a. Working with designers to understand possible changes to APEX and PREX installation
   b. Checking vacuum during access
   c. Completed pre-beam checklist to bring the hall from restricted to controlled access
   d. Working on calibrating mass flow meters
   e. During hall access, troubleshot and repaired R2 helium probe
   f. Worked on updating documents for cryogenic system
   g. Working on fabricating Hcal mounting braces
   h. Repaired the band saw in building 8 (cryo weld shop)
   i. Moved leak checker from Test Lab to building 98
   j. Set up PID loops in the cryo system
