Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: May 1, 2018

1. Thia Keppel
   a. Salary increases (retro active to 3/1) to appear possibly in June 29th paycheck – might be July 21st 
   b. Promos too to appear, ~late may news, letter end of June
   c. Dedication event tomorrow!
     i. ~45 people on tours of Halls, not in Hall A
     ii. Auditorium space limited, need a ticket
     iii. Event will be streaming
   d. Run –around today
   e. Power outages coming!
     i. Walt sent out email specifically for Halls
     ii. Next Tuesday 5/8 CEBAF Center, TED offices, test lab, EEL, 5pm – 3am
     iii. 5/9 rain date
     iv. 6/25 ESB 5pm – 3am
     v. 6/26 Building 58, no water to building 90 (turn off power to EEL clean rooms or they’ll get hot)
     vi. Walt will email about all
   f. Cryogenics Plan:
     i. CHL boost off Sunday – warm up targets, ramp down magnets to Ø field! 6am!
     ii. Dave K will distribute information
     iii. The power reading is 8am Sunday!
   g. Accelerator down @ 6am to accommodate
   h. All Staff email coming:
     i. SAD (scheduled accelerator down) briefing, 1 member from each group should attend
   i. ~8 EIC fellowship applications in
   j. End-of-Run party@ Thia’s house this Sunday (5/6) at 3pm

2. Robin Wines
   a. APEX
     i. Continue on drawings for septum support/carriage & making sure everything else is ready
   b. PREX2/CREX
     i. Septum support
     ii. Shielding design

3. Jessie Butler
   a. Continue to support the running experiment
   b. The Hall was open for a short period of time on Monday (4/23) during beam studies 
   c. Entered the Hall for a short period of time on Tuesday (4/24) during RF recovery to take measurements and 
           check vacuums
   d. Team came in on Sunday (4/29) to move RHRS
   e. Finished putting together the final HCal subassembly. Final step is to stack them and get them setup for 
           the collaboration to work on this summer
   f. Helped Ethan setup and pump down the Moller after it was moved to ESB
   g. Moved “Bertha” from the Test Lab to ESB
