Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: May 12, 2020

  1.  Thia Keppel
     *   Senior Staff
        *   VA Governor announced changes (Phase I) to start Friday (5-15-20)
           *   Doesn’t mean we can go back
           *   JLab submitting plan for “resumption” of activities tomorrow to DOE
           *   May 22 – June 15 time from expected
           *   There will be a remote entry level training requirement (guidance for elevators, corridors, etc.)
           *   Honor system daily health assessment
           *   Informational posters, social distancing
           *   Glove/mask requirements not yet clear
        *   General OSP for COVID-19 for this summer (2 weeks accelerator start up + 6 physics weeks
           *   Look at counting house
           *   Look at procedures for restart
           *   Telework will continue as well
           *   As we were in MedCon 5
           *   Users on site will be invitation only
           *   Numbers can go up for MedCon 4, MedCon 3 (everyone)
           *   Expect to be gradual
        *   Virtual onboarding has started
           *   Welcome David Flay (starting 5/18, Staff Scientist I)
           *   Welcome Jim Fast (starting 5/18, MOLLER Project Manager)
        *   August 17 likely for CD-1 Director’s Review
        *   EIC Partnership
           *   May 7 signed
           *   Expect e-mail from Stuart
        *   14 LDRD proposals submitted (2/14 OIS)
        *   Xiangdong Ji will start 6/1 as CNF Director (SURA)
        *   No news yet on July S&T Reviews, expect still to have remote
  2.  Robin Wines
     *   SBS
        *   Working on ECAL support
        *   LCW manifolds, install & alignment data & plans
        *   Hodoscope re-enforcement
        *   Hodoscope jigs for assembly
        *   Checking & planning disassembly of cryo can for HRS-BR and supporting vendors with information on GEn-RP parts.
     *   SoLID- working on design of test connections needed for coil tests in TestLab, working with controls group for test setup.
     *   MOLLER- working on installation preliminary plan and integration document
  3.  Jessie Butler
     *   Continue working on SBS scheduling and FML work planning.
     *   Conduct daily walk-thru at lab
     *   Continue doing cryo training, monitoring the cryo system remotely.
     *   Continue working on procedures and review drawings for SBS installation
  4.  Featured Speaker – Silviu Covrig

                                       – Status of Thermal-Bench-Test and PREX2-CREX target papers

                                        – Status of the MOLLER target
