Dear PVDIS collaborators,
As I wrote yesterday, we will be moving both the Left and Right
spectrometers during day shift tomorrow, December 17, using drill
motors attached to the bogies. We plan to begin moving the Right
HRS shortly after 08:00, and expect to move the Left HRS as soon
as we can after the position survey is complete.
We will try to complete the job during the day shift.
We need to have 4-8 people available to operate the motors. We
expect to take 2-3 hrs to move each of the spectrometers.
So far, only two people have volunteered their time.
If you are (or can be) on-site Thursday morning or afternoon,
please send me an email telling me when you are available. Even
one hour of your time will make a big difference on this necessary
job.
Even if you don't email me, you would be welcome to help with
this job; please check in with the counting house (TO) on your
way into the hall.
Thank you,
Paul King.
PVDIS run coordinator.
