Following yesterdays meeting the target installation was completed. The cell was allowed to polarize overnight at the OFF/OFF configuration and most recent NMR was 49.8% with a calibration constant of 1. We do not have EPR calibrations to quantify this, however (in my naive opinion) this seems qualitatively promising.

The target alignment is ongoing down in the hall. We aim (would ideally like) to be completed and locked up for 5pm. MCC reported at the morning meeting that they expect beam to be back to the halls around 8pm. We hope to be able to polarize for a few hours, and then perform EPR calibrations at the ON/ON configuration.

Ideally we would begin beam checkout sometime late swing or early owl shift, and depending on the target polarization, decide on taking production or reference H2 data.

Thanks for continuing to read my bad summaries each day, it has been an interesting (read: exhausting but fun) week as RC.
