Dear Collaborators,
CEBAF is getting ready for December run. CLAS12 preparation is in its final stage.
We are getting ready to lock up the hall on Friday. Our nominal shift schedule starts at 00:00 this Sunday, December 3rd.
There is a chance that we may need to staff shifts staring Friday and Saturday. We need a few local people to be on stand by if needed. Please contact me if you are available this weekend and provide your contact information.
Information for the shift takers before arriving to your first shift.
The required safety training for shift personnel includes:
* ODH
* RadWorker I, including RWP
* Hall B Safety Awareness
You must have your dosimeter with you when you come on shift.
All run related information can be found on the web: https://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/run-web/
This page has links to required reading for shift personnel:
* Conduct of Operatios (COO)
* Experiment Safety Assessment Document (ESAD)
* Radiation Safety Analysis Document (RSAD)
* Hall-B Emergency Response Guidelines (ERG)
There is a yellow binder with paper copies of these documents and a signature sheet. You would need to acknowledge that you have read them by signing it when you come to your first shift or before.
This web page also has link to the Run wiki: https://wiki.jlab.org/clas12-run/index.php/Engineering_Run
This will be the main source of information when you are on shift.
You will find there operation manuals and procedures for all CLAS12 subsystems, run plan, phone numbers and many other useful links. Take some time to read subsystem manuals, particularly parts describing what shift personnel is expected to do, how to control systems, what to monitor, how to react on alarms etc.
You are encouraged to come to the counting house early to get familiar with the arrangement of the control and monitoring tools.
Stepan and I will serve as PDLs for this run. Feel free to contact us if you have questions related to shifts.
-Eugene
