Dear Hall C Collaborator -

Coming up soon after the end of the current Pion-LT running and
following the ~1 week CaFe experiment, a set of three experiments will
run in Hall C starting in late September, continuing through late March
2023.  These experiments include the "XEM2" pair of experiments
(E12-06-105 and E12-10-008) which will make measurements of short range
correlations and the EMC effect via inclusive electron scattering from
nuclei, and additional running for E12-10-003, a measurement of deuteron
electro-disintegration at large missing momentum (part of this
experiment ran as one of the initial Hall C 12 GeV commissioning
experiments in 2018).  Note that at this time, Deuteron
Electro-disintegration is expected to run for the last month of the
run-period.

The shift schedule for these experiments is now available here:

https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/physics/shiftSchedule/index.cfm?experimentRunId=HALLC-XEM2

We are requesting that collaborators take 15 shifts to be eligible for
authorship on papers from all three experiments.  Fewer shifts are
requested if you wish to participate in only the XEM2 experiments or the
Deuteron Electro-distintegration experiment (12 shifts for XEM2 and 5
for Deuteron Electro-disintegration)  - shifts taken at any time during
the run period contribute to either experiment.

We look forward to a productive run period and hope you will be able to
sign up for shifts.

Regards,
John Arrington, Donal Day, Nadia Fomin, Dave Gaskell (XEM2 spokespersons)
and
Werner Boeglin, Mark Jones, Carlos Yero (Deuteron Electro-disintegration
spokespersons)
