No RC meeting today (enjoy your weekend :) )

Yesterday there was a magnet event around 08:00. Thankfully we recovered quickly. After the recovery, accelerator began the planned down for the Hall A pass change and wein angle change.

Shortly after beam restoration, the HMS DAQ crashed and could not be recovered. We called Bob Michaels who went to work an diagnosing and problem solving. It appears the culprit was a corrupted database that was not able to be recovered at the time. Bob then rebuilt the DAQ for us so that we could continue running. See reference above for more info. In short, the DAQ is functional but starting it up should it crash again may be a big task. Bob has provided instructions for this but also requests a call if it crashes.

In the event of a long down time (~2+ hours), Bob requests that he be called so that he can work on making the startup of the rebuilt DAQ more shift-worker friendly.

During that time, we did some electronic deadtime studies with the SHMS.

After the HMS DAQ recovery, the Charge Symmetric Background study continued. Around 07:00 today that program concluded and the spectrometer polarities were flipped for electron running. The run plan continues on smoothly in this setting for a while.
