No beam.

Yesterday after the pump was removed from the SHMS Q1 in the morning, we went to beam permit and began taking beam after the magnets ramped. In the late evening we had some issues as the passing thunderstorm caused beam trip issues. After that passed, we were able to resume good data taking.

At 03:30 this morning, ARC9A had a power supply trip that would not reset. That is currently being investigated and worked on. Estimated beam restoration is ~17:00 this evening.

This morning Larry called me and said that we could use this downtime as an opportunistic chance to put a pump on the HMS cryo line. MCC requested that we wait until after the 8am meeting to coordinate this with radcon. At 9am, radcon went in to survey the hall and escort the tech team to install the pump. We are currently in controlled access.

Last night a fan on the loop 2 cryotarget began reading 0 (see reference). Target group assessed and determined that there is no actual problem and the likely culprit is a faulty cable. Dave Meekins has been notified of the down time today and decided that he will enter the hall to assess the problem this afternoon when he has availability. 

Tomorrow the accelerator will go down after MCC shift change at 08:00 to prepare for a North Linac tour associated with the accelerator reliability workshop. There will also be a tour of the hall during this time window. We will go to restricted access as soon as radcon conducts their survey. Accelerator said that their intention is to begin the process of beam restoration "as soon as the last tour participant is out of the linac". The estimate is ~13:00.

If you have any work to do in the hall, tomorrow morning may be an opportune time to do it. Please contact me if you would like to coordinate this.
