The target was successfully cooled down yesterday, although loop 1 (helium-3) is not operating as it was before the holiday shutdown.  Some temperatures are higher than before, and the fan has to operate at higher frequency (at lower frequency - it shuts off).  After Ellen addressed some issues with the SHMS Q1 quench detector, we locked up the hall for beam setup.  By mid-swing, MCC was ready for us to check the position of the hole target, and then moved on to ion chamber calibrations.  When attempting to switch to helium-3 for the calibrations, it was found that the temperature spiked when turning on the high-power heater, so we deferred the helium-3 ion chamber calibration until we can confer with target experts.  Late owl shift, we started production running on the first HMS positron setting, with the SHMS taking electron data at 10 degrees.

Since the Hall C winter meeting starts today, I suggest we pass on the RC meeting today.
