Since yesterday we have continued taking production data on LD2 and LH2. Mostly this has been smooth running, however, since owl shift on Sunday night we have been plagued by DAQ instability issues, with frequent drops in the LT. We have tried adjusting by lowering the beam current, and raising the prescale factor and NPS VTP Readout threshold.

Alex spent several hours troubleshooting and eventually determined that the data was somehow going to the wrong disk. With this fixed, the problem seemed temporarily better, but shift workers have still seen LT drops overnight so there is still something wrong. Bob Michaels suggests he can troubleshoot but will require around 2-3 hours of dedicated time on the DAQ. Alex will try and continue to diagnose during the beam study today.

Today there is a beam study from 9 AM - 1 PM planned. We will take LH2 data for the first two hours until the current goes above 40 uA, and then switch to empty. At the end of the beam study there is a planned BCM calibration.
