Eugene, Announcements

* There is a Physics Division party this week, deadline for signing
up is tomorrow noon.
* solenoid work
+ trying to send current through coil 1 now, goal to go to 50 A
+ quench protection is tripping
+ need to study input signals
o e. g. shunt, expect 66 μV/A, noise much bigger
+ leads are clogged
o warmed to above nitrogen freezing, so probably water
o will run without vapor cooling
* ETC/change request
+ must be done by end of month
* Lehman review this week
+ admin report: Claus
+ Hall B microstrips report
+ solenoid report to be presented by Claus


Fernando

* flash 250 preliminary results look good
+ testing continues
+ if OK, go for next batch in January
* ASIC's order being reviewed by Glenn and Procurement
+ 160 k$ triggers the 150 k$ threshold, domestic vendor
requirements will apply
+ hope to place order by March


Tim

* working on the ETC
* hiring
+ several more techs
+ several more engineers
* Wed.: RFE walk-though for civil

* construction at Blue Crab going well
* FDC: waiting for first cathode boards
