Hi,
Below is the note I intend to send to Andy. Please check I've got
everything correct and I haven't forgotten anything. Send me comments
as appropriate.
Thanks,
==============================================================
Dear Andy,
Networking needs for Hall D during the long down are described below.
In general, outside the Hall D complex existing lab networks should
suffice, and short, planned outages are not a problem. We will
construct the Hall D complex network as needs arise and as other work
permits. Somewhat late in the down period we will perform high-speed
testing of the hall complex network system and the connection to the
tape silo. Note that the direct connection between Hall D and the
Tagger Hall will be made using JLab (dark) backbone fibers.
We require networking in the following locations outside the Hall D
complex, and normal JLab networks should meet our bandwidth requirements:
CC F117: Electronics construction and testing.
EEL 126: Detector construction and testing.
ESB: Detector construction and testing.
CC F-Wing Offices: Occasional electronics programming and testing.
Let me know if you need additional information.

Sincerely,
Elliott
