  Hall D Staff Meeting, April 29, 2019

Present: Thomas Britton, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, Alexandre 
Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, David Lawrence, Lubomir 
Pentchev, Patrizia Rossi, Elton Smith, Sascha Somov, Simon Taylor, Tim 
Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann


    Announcements (Eugene)

  * FY 19 funding already here
  * July 11: S&T Office Visit
  * NSAC: Curtis gave presentation, Rolf reports that it was well received
  * Next run target energy is 11.5 GeV
  * Timesheets going well
      o go ahead and enter hours every day, easier that way


    Work in the Hall (Tim)

  * Maintenance on roll-up door done
  * personnel door at top of ramp: mechanism was broken, fixed now
  * DIRC, light-tightening of the bar boxes in progress
  * TOF coming down next week, will be put on saw horses in Hall
  * CompCal taken down off stand
  * Goniometer: taking out diamonds this week, will do preventative
    maintenance
  * FCAL insert: setting up 3×3 array for magnetic field testing
  * BCAL upstream chiller: at 88 degrees F, flushing with reverse flow
  * Chiller for CompCal on order
  * Other maintenance tasks on-going as well


    Status and Plans for EEL 126 (Beni)

  * Room will be cleaned out, re-painted, floor re-done, fume hood
    removed shelving removed and replaced
  * everything must be out (except for the lead glass) by the end of the
    week
  * if desired tag items: they will be moved out, stored, and moved back in
  * anything not tagged will be excessed/discarded


    Electronics Tech Re-Location

  * group has moved from CC F117 to EEL 118


    Purchases (Eugene)

  * Mark I. had put in the PR for all of the scintillator and part of
    the raw light guide material for the TOF upgrade.
  * We will be buying 500 lead tungstate crystals from Shanghai
    Institute of Ceramics for the FCAL insert.
