  Hall D Staff Meeting, May 4, 2020

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Lab management plans to follow the Commonwealth's guidance for the
    schedule for re-opening the Lab.
  * Lab working on facilitating social distancing once we return, e.g.,
    spacing of seating in meeting rooms.
  * New immigration and visa restrictions are in effect.
  * Lab working on virtual on-boarding, no implementation yet.
  * EIC: CD-1 review coming in January, pre-review in September.
      o JLab community should come up with proposals for detectors
      o JLab and BNL Directors are working on agreement on institutional
        responsibilities
  * One of the Lab's staff is offering writing support.


    Announcement, Patrizia

  * Accelerator showing schedule for start-up of experimental schedule
    in July. This is not an official plan, please do not plan against
    that date.


    Events of the Week, Tim

  * Aforementioned planning effort from Accelerator gives us 10 days to
    get ready. We are planning for that.
  * Vapor cooled lead flow alarm due to Cryo group maintenance activity,
    not serious
  * P&I diagrams getting updated
  * Stephanie Worthington and Tim working on CPP fine alignment
  * List of possible procurements has been worked up
  * Lots of training going on for technical staff
  * DIRC work on improving air flow proceeding
  * DIRC mirror box install/remove tooling work
  * Lubomir asked about CO_2 . Jack Segal changed out the bottle recently.
  * Bobby doing 3D printing at home. Got materials from the Lab via Jack.


    LDRD, Sergey

  * preliminary proposal submitted, received encouragement to submit a
    full proposal


    SRC ERR, Sascha

  * To be held on Thursday
  * Slides have been prepared
  * Neutron radiation work ongoing with RadCon and Carl Zorn
  * Diamond radiator: may not need the highest quality radiator
  * Run is for 15 PC days
  * Coordinating with committee members


    PrimEx Data Production, Sascha

  * Long discussion last Friday on FCAL calibration
      o Close to finished, hopefully this week
  * Then on to another monitoring launch
  * Improvements to FCAL reconstruction for PrimEx planned


    Data Analysis

  * Running on NERSC: Igal will be getting example jobs going this week.


    Sponsorees' Visit Approval Expiration

  * Elton asked for guidance; should wait until normal Lab operations
    resume to deal with approval requests.
