  Hall D Staff Meeting, November 9, 2020

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, 
Alexandre Deur, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, Keigo Mizutani, 
Lubomir Pentchev, Patrizia Rossi, Sascha Somov, Simon Taylor, Tim 
Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann


    Announcements, Eugene

  * There will be an All-Hands Meeting on Nov 17.
  * Appraisals go to the next stage, one-on-one meetings, starting this
    week.
  * SAD progress
      o spare cold compressor removed, will go back to Oak Ridge
      o roughly on schedule
  * DOE Long-Range Plan process will start at the beginning of next year
  * Meetings with Bob McKeown to assess progress in hybrid search
  * Hall D staff may have to perform calibrations for SRC


    Engineering, Tim

  * Tagger spectrometer going back together
      o waiting for survey and alignment
  * hardening systems:
      o vacuum
      o nitrogen flow
  * DIRC mirrors biggest item on the books
  * Setting up the CPP experiment
      o on cusp of finalizing design of support frame, then on to
        procurement


    Other News, Eugene

  * 25% tariffs were levied on crystals from China, funds to cover being
    sought
  * EIC project: collecting "letters of intent" from various
    institutions, including those from other countries
