    Hall D Staff Meeting, December 13, 2021

    Announcements, Eugene

  * New organizational chart

    for Physics Division
      o new positions: "Programmatic Support" and "Computing"
      o assignments for new positions not yet made
  * SRC run
      o going smoothly
      o magnet ramp down: costly in time, caused by transient
        communication outage due to network problem
      o CPP TOF trigger test
          + firmware not ready for a beam test
          + instead will take data in raw mode and in compressed mode
            with random trigger
          + trigger algorithm can be checked
          + length of run not decided
          + Sascha: some tweaking of the trigger will be needed to do this
          + also need to look at trigger with higher threshold for FCAL
            for NPP


    Computing Review, Mark I.

    Transition to Zoom, Mark I.

    he put together after the last meeting to collect information on the
    transition from BlueJeans to Zoom.
  * Training held last week useful, but had a lot of detail, hard to
    retain it all

    Work in the Hall, Tim

  * Tue. morning, 12/21 beam off
      o Detectors/electronics can be turned off
      o mechanical systems will be secured
      o no running for next few months
  * CPP equipment will start moving into Hall in Jan.
  * Magnet will go to liquid nitrogen temperature in Jan.
      o after outgasing, will be returned to liquid helium temperature
        (to free up helium storage for other projects)
